The Alliance Mission

The Alliance mission is to support individual efforts to develop career and personal growth and enhance employability through continual learning experiences. The success of these individual efforts will be assured by the cooperative activities of The Alliance, AT&T, Avaya, CWA, IBEW, and Lucent Technologies.

In addition to group size training, qualified individuals have available to them $1650 per year through Alliance Pre-Paid Tuition. To be eligible for and secure access to the Pre-Paid Tuition Program, you must have a Life/Work Plan on file with The Alliance. To be considered for the tuition dollars, your plan must reflect current career goals.

REGISTRATION POLICY!!

In an effort to cut down on the amount of classes being canceled at the last minute, the Alliance team has decided to place to place a restriction on registering for classes.   Listed with the course description and registration information for each class is a cut-off date.  This date reflects the last day you may register for that particular class.  You may only register after that date for an existing class that has seats available.

Important: Registration for ALL courses begins at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 23, 2007.  Registrations submitted prior to this time will not be accepted.

Policies & Procedures

Attendance Requirements for Alliance Training

• Failure to attend or complete your classes may jeopardize your privilege to attend future classes.
• You must submit a registration form for each course prior to attending any class.
• You must attend the first session of a course in order to participate. You may not enroll after the course has already started.
• You must attend at least 75% of an Alliance course in order to receive credit.
• If you do not meet the attendance requirement, you must return class materials to your Alliance Representative.
• A minimum number  of participants is required for a class to be held or maintained at all times.  A drop in enrollment may affect not only one class, but all of the classes in an entire series.

Cancellation Policy

• If fewer than the required minimum number of participants enroll for a course, the course will be canceled two working days prior to the date the course is scheduled to begin.
• If cancellations are received which cause the enrollment to drop below the required minimum, the course may be canceled at any time.
• If fewer than the required minimum number of participants have arrived within 30 minutes after the time the class is scheduled to begin, the class will be canceled.

General Info

• All classes filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, unless affected by a force imbalance.
• Individuals affected by a force imbalance will be given priority treatment.
• Duplication of the registration form will be accepted.
• AT&T/Avaya/Lucent bargained for employees and AT&T/Avaya/Lucent term employees are eligible for courses.
• AT&T/Avaya/Lucent temporary employees are not eligible.

Your Attention Please!

If you took an introductory course a few months ago and elect to take an intermediate or advanced course, please review your materials prior to starting class so you will be "in step" with the other participants.

If you have not received your acknowledgment letter within seven to fourteen (7 - 14) days after e-mailing in your registration, please call Carolyn Bell (407) 858-8268.

Note: Class locations, times, and dates are subject to change.

Reminder: Alliance courses may not be taken on company time.

Please remember, it is your responsibility, and to your advantage, to update your AT&T Transfer System (ATS)/ Lucent/Avaya Transfer Program (LTP) resume to reflect the skills you have acquired through the Alliance.
