Network+ Certification ... a next logical step from the A+ Certification
Network+ is a testing program sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry
Association (CompTIA) that will certify the knowledge of networking technicians with 18-24
months experience in the IT industry. This test, which will be administered by Sylvan
Prometric, was launched in April of 1999.
Earning the Network+ certification means that the candidate possesses the knowledge
needed to configure and install the TCP/IP client. This exam covers a wide range of vendor
and product neutral networking technologies.
The Network+ certificate will be a company-neutral, industry-wide recognition of
networking knowledge. It is a logical next step from the A+ certification as well as a
path for entering directly into networking.
If you took the TSAT™ and the advisor recommended that you take the
Network+ Foundation courses prior to the Network+ Test Prep course, you must successfully reassess on the networking portions of the TSAT™. Online reassessment is now available. Also, if you have taken an Alliance-sponsored A+ Test Prep course,
you must have passed the A+ Certification Exam before you can take the
Network+ Test Prep course. Call
your Alliance Co-Chairs, Michele Kucinski at 407-475-8045 or Mary Rusz at
407-805-5033 for more information.
